Engineering Manager, Provider Quality (AI)

What you will do

• Build, lead, and develop a team of 4–5 engineers through coaching, feedback, hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
• Remain hands-on with architecture, pair programming, coding, code reviews, on-call, system design, observability, reliability, and scalability.
• Set the technical and product direction for a clinician-facing quality platform that evolves traditional charts into an intelligent, real-time care experience.
• Build AI-assisted workflows that transform session transcripts into accurate chart notes, coaching insights, and actionable quality signals.
• Partner with clinical leadership, product, design, data, providers, and compliance to define care quality and measure outcomes.
• Establish team operating practices including sprint planning, OKR planning, quarterly planning, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with modern full-stack technologies.
• 2+ years of hands-on engineering management experience, including hiring, performance management, promotions, and career development.
• Strong proficiency with React, TypeScript, Node, PostgreSQL, or similar modern technologies.
• Ability to pair program, contribute directly to implementation, write product requirements, critique designs, size opportunities, and make independent product decisions.
• Experience shipping and owning production systems in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• AI/ML product experience, especially LLM evaluation or human-in-the-loop systems.
• Experience with clinician-facing products, privacy-sensitive workflows, or regulated technology.
