Location: New York City, hybrid with in-office work typically 3–4 days per week
Salary: $240,000–$280,000 per year plus equity

What you will do
- Hire, grow, retain, and manage the career development and performance of platform engineers.
- Coach engineers with clear feedback and align people with projects that support their strengths and growth.
- Create clarity around priorities, goals, execution, and delivery across multiple engineering workstreams.
- Own the hiring bar and candidate experience by running interview loops, training, and debriefs.
- Support team planning, code quality, delivery, retrospectives, and operational improvements.
- Drive AI adoption across the software lifecycle and help maintain coherent shared engineering approaches.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as an engineering manager.
- Proven experience managing and developing high-performing engineers.
- Strong understanding of modern software development practices and system design.
- Experience driving execution in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
- Strong stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, business judgment, and communication skills.
- Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy domains.
Nice to have
- Experience leading cloud infrastructure, platform, or shared-services systems.
- Exposure to AI/ML workloads, including LLM-based applications or data-intensive products.
- Startup or high-growth company experience.
