Conversion Onsite Service Engineer - NY Edwards

What you will do

• Inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair technical systems during planned and ad hoc customer visits.
• Diagnose issues and take corrective action to prevent equipment downtime.
• Install equipment and ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements.
• Document service activities, record data, and prepare technical reports.
• Act as the onsite customer contact, provide service recommendations, and address customer needs.
• Share technical expertise and coach less experienced team members.

Requirements

• High school diploma; an associate degree is preferred, with full military equivalent experience accepted as a substitute.
• 1–3 years of experience in a relevant technical field such as electronics, mechanics, chemicals, gas, refrigeration, or basic vacuum systems.
• Customer-facing experience and a strong customer focus.
• Ability to work independently, resolve problems, escalate issues appropriately, and collaborate with team members.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
• Ability to use computer software, interpret technical documentation and drawings, and comply with safety, health, legal, and organizational standards.
