Project Application Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Remote work arrangement preferred within the Detroit metropolitan area, United States. Up to 40% travel, primarily within the United States, with occasional international travel. Multi-day and overnight travel may be required during the first year.

What you will do

• Collaborate with Sales to define and develop customized project solutions.
• Translate customer requirements into technical designs, documentation, and proposals.
• Own projects from quotation through final delivery, maintaining schedule and budget performance.
• Coordinate activities across Sales, Engineering, Service, suppliers, and customers.
• Manage testing, installation, and overall project execution.
• Identify efficiency improvements and eliminate project bottlenecks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing or project engineering environments.
• Experience managing complex projects end-to-end and delivering within budget.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.
• Proficiency with CAD software, preferably PTC Creo.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, project costing, and pricing strategies.
