R&D Engineer (Mechanical Manufacturing)

Location: Collecorvino (Pescara), Italy; office-based with possible hybrid working arrangements according to company policy.

What you will do

• Develop new products and technologies and improve existing industrial solutions.
• Perform technical feasibility analyses and requirement studies using CAD and product analysis tools.
• Support product design, testing, prototyping, simulations, and technical validation.
• Prepare and maintain drawings, bills of materials, technical tables, project documentation, and reports.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Suppliers, Project Management, Mechanical Design, Sales, and Service to deliver feasible and cost-effective solutions.
• Support installation, commissioning, plant surveys, corrective actions, and Group Technology innovation initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Proven experience in a similar R&D role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and Solid Edge.
• Basic knowledge of technical standards and product safety requirements.
• Availability for occasional short business trips, with strong teamwork, problem-solving, accuracy, and deadline-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in mechanical or manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of testing methods, technical simulations, and product validation processes.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and product lifecycle or technical documentation management tools.
• Knowledge of CE marking and technical compliance requirements.
