What you will do

• Develop and maintain PLC programs for production and facility equipment.
• Provide controls and automation support for optical-fiber manufacturing.
• Resolve daily production issues involving equipment and control software with technical staff.
• Support commissioning of new production equipment.
• Maintain backups of PLC programs and critical support files according to plant standards.
• Follow safety procedures and ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 HSE guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience programming Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Schneider, and/or Siemens PLCs.
• Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to support continuous improvement, work with limited supervision, and maintain attention to detail and quality.

Nice to have

• Experience with fiber-optic or highly automated manufacturing processes.
• Experience with IEC PLC programming languages, including Ladder, Sequential Function Chart, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagram.
• Experience with Profibus, Ethernet, and Modbus+ communication protocols.
• Experience programming HMI software, PC-to-PLC and PC-to-database transactions, servo drives, and motion controllers.
