What you will do

• Define and implement automation, metrology, inspection, testing, and predictive analytics systems supporting a smart factory vision.
• Develop scalable automation strategies for new product introduction and design automated assembly and test equipment for server components, including PCBs, power modules, and cooling systems.
• Develop and optimize mechatronic systems integrating robotics, sensors, actuators, PLCs, vision systems, motion control, and software.
• Work with cross-functional teams and equipment vendors to embed design-for-manufacturability and design-for-automation principles, qualify tools, and deploy production equipment.
• Use SPC, FMEA, DOE, and production data to improve yield, reliability, cycle time, throughput, and process robustness.
• Create system documentation, SOPs, and training materials; provide technical support and training to production teams while maintaining safety and industry compliance.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in high-volume, high-complexity manufacturing.
• Advanced proficiency in PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, motion control, PID loops, multi-axis control, and high-speed machine control.
• Experience designing, commissioning, and optimizing automated production lines, robotic cells, automated test equipment, material handling systems, control architectures, and safety systems.
• Proficiency with Minitab, JMP, Python, R, SQL, CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD, and industrial automation platforms such as Siemens or Allen-Bradley.
• Experience with electronics assembly, PCBA, servers, or other high-reliability industries, plus robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, machine vision, instrumentation, and measurement systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML toolsets for statistical problem solving, predictive analytics, or anomaly detection.
• Experience with LabVIEW, an MBA, or exposure to business, finance, or economics.
