Control Systems Engineer (Automation)

What you will do

• Design control systems and modifications using process diagrams, user requirements, functional requirements, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
• Collaborate with the global controls engineering team on development projects, engineering standards, new technologies, and automation systems.
• Support, configure, and replicate PLC, SCADA, drive, servo, and vision systems, including releases and patching.
• Maintain configuration data, technical documentation, software backups, revision notes, and knowledge-base records.
• Develop Functional Specification and Design Specification documentation and support cGMP validation activities.
• Provide project updates, technical guidance, plant support, and rotating after-hours coverage for operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Robotics with an emphasis on automation.
• Knowledge of electrical circuit theory, control circuit design, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and mechanical assembly drawings.
• Ability to troubleshoot control electrical wiring safely.
• Intermediate knowledge of software development lifecycles, system requirements, and software test-plan development and execution.
• Intermediate project management skills, including estimating software-related project work.
• Programming proficiency, preferably with Siemens, plus working knowledge of SCADA, drives, servo systems, PCs, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Windows.
