Plant Engineer - Electrical & Controls

Location: USA - WI - Franklin; onsite work in office and plant-floor settings

Salary: $96,400-$132,600 annual base salary

What you will do

• Create and execute the plant's strategic vision for automation, controls, and electrical safety.
• Lead capital projects, including estimation, equipment specifications, vendor management, installation, startup, and training.
• Provide daily technical support to plant operations and support cross-functional improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and repair computer-driven controls, mechanical systems, and electromechanical equipment with maintenance personnel.
• Identify and implement complex, multidisciplinary capital improvements that improve safety, quality, throughput, cost, and plant efficiency.
• Develop engineering standards and serve as the plant subject matter expert for automation, controls, and electrical systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 4+ years of experience.
• Experience with high-speed automation, robotics, and variable frequency drives.
• Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLC and HMI programming, vision systems, and Fanuc robotics.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, PC-based systems, and Windows Server platforms.
• Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry Standards.
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple deadlines, troubleshoot complex systems, and communicate effectively across teams.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Advanced skills in MS Project and MS Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD, LAN/WAN technologies, Wonderware, or VMware vSphere.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and complex-systems troubleshooting skills.
