Commercial Credit Senior Associate - Large Corporate, VP

What you will do

• Execute commercial credit transactions and manage large corporate loan portfolios throughout the credit lifecycle.
• Underwrite new credit requests, material modifications, renewals, and restructurings from deal screening through approval.
• Monitor portfolio risk through annual reviews, interim updates, covenant monitoring, early-warning indicators, and problem-loan management.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, due diligence, industry research, collateral, guarantor information, and market trends.
• Build cash-flow analyses, financial models, covenant sensitivity calculations, collateral schedules, and downside-case scenarios.
• Partner with relationship managers, lead transaction execution teams, present credit recommendations, and support accurate risk ratings and policy compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience in commercial credit or related financial analysis; an alternative education and experience path is available.
• Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling, credit metrics, financial ratios, and trend analysis.
• Emerging proficiency in legal documentation, structural analysis, and independent transaction structuring.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, lead transaction execution activities, and build customer relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and understanding of the financial regulatory environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Capital IQ, FactSet, or Bloomberg.
• Experience training junior or newly hired analysts.
