Instrumentation & Electrical Technician

What you will do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, instrumentation, and process control equipment in an industrial plant.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC systems, motor controls, drives, MCCs, transformers, disconnects, wiring, lighting, and power distribution equipment.
• Operate test instruments for calibration, diagnostics, and monitoring.
• Maintain and calibrate chemical process instrumentation for level, flow, pressure, temperature, analysis, pneumatic actuated valves, and control valves.
• Apply hirify.global Life Saving Rules and improve workplace safety and operating conditions.
• Provide on-call coverage and work scheduled night shifts and weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or a two-year technical degree.
• Five years of instrumentation and electrical experience, or a two-year technical degree with three years of instrumentation and electrical experience.
• Detailed knowledge of industrial process instrumentation, controls, PLC systems, and electrical supply and distribution systems.
• Basic Microsoft and computer skills for accessing CMMS, training materials, and technical drawings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, carry up to 25 pounds, and climb stairs or ladders up to 180 feet.
