TL;DR

Salary: $65,000–$80,000 per year, plus a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

  • Conduct on-site residential energy audits covering HVAC systems, insulation, windows, lighting, appliances, and building envelopes.
  • Use blower doors, combustion analyzers, infrared cameras, and related tools to assess air leakage and energy performance.
  • Collect and analyze utility data, homeowner usage patterns, and building specifications, then prioritize energy-saving recommendations in program software.
  • Educate homeowners and residents about energy-saving measures, rebates, and best practices.
  • Perform post-installation inspections and review QA/QC findings for weatherization, HVAC, and water-heating upgrades.
  • Collaborate with contractors, utility representatives, program managers, and cross-functional teams while maintaining accurate documentation.

Requirements

  • Current BPI Building Analyst Certification (BPI BA) is mandatory; candidates without it will not be considered.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in energy, construction, environmental science, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in field services, quality control or assurance, consulting, energy efficiency, or utility work is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of building science, construction, technical practices, and applicable program standards.
  • Must be located in Metro Arizona and be a US Citizen.
  • Ability to travel 25%–75% of the time, with limited overnight travel.

Nice to have

  • HERS or RESNET Rater certification.
  • Experience with SnuggPro.
  • Spanish-speaking bilingual ability.
  • Microsoft Office Suite and CRM proficiency.
