What you will do

• Develop and manage distribution channels with brokers, agents, and business partners.
• Review surety bond submissions and evaluate risk, underwriting terms, and credit requirements.
• Analyze financial statements, work-in-process reports, credit reports, and related documents.
• Set single and aggregate bond amounts, terms, and conditions based on risk analysis and industry standards.
• Collaborate with brokers, agents, and principals to obtain information and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Monitor industry trends, regulations, underwriting practices, competitor activity, obligee requirements, and statutory changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
• 2+ years of surety underwriting or related experience.
• Strong contract surety underwriting and financial analysis expertise.
• Ability to interpret financial data, assess complex risks, and make underwriting decisions.
• Strong communication, customer service, time management, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and travel as needed.
