Quality Engineer - HPC (Nuclear)

What you will do

• Implement and maintain quality processes for nuclear construction activities in line with RCC-M, EN ISO 3834-2, and project specifications.
• Oversee quality compliance across fabrication, installation, testing, audits, surveillance, and process reviews.
• Control QA documentation, including FUDs, NCRs, RFIs, LTQRs, registers, and trackers, while maintaining end-to-end traceability.
• Prepare, review, and integrate FUDs into Construction Work Packs and LTQR structures.
• Administer NCRs from initiation and root cause analysis through corrective actions, close-out, and lessons learned.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, QC, inspectors, client representatives, and other stakeholders on quality requirements and inspection outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience in QA engineering or quality management on large construction projects.
• Experience managing FUDs, NCRs, RFIs, and quality documentation in a regulated environment.
• Experience in nuclear, oil and gas, or another high-integrity industry.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, RCC-M, and nuclear quality assurance frameworks.
• Degree, ONC, HNC, or equivalent qualification in engineering, quality, or a related field is preferred.
• CSWIP Level 3.1 or 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector and CCNSG qualifications.

Nice to have

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification or Chartered Quality Institute membership.
• Experience with pipe standards, radiographic interpretation, fabrication, welding, and NDT techniques.
• Experience with Teamcenter, SharePoint, Proarc, or SOMINS.
• Strong organisational, analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
