Director, Project Controls (Life Sciences)

Location: Ashburn, Virginia, USA; the role includes on-site supervision of project performance.

Salary: $178,500–$210,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design, planning, and construction of multidisciplinary real estate projects for clients.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow analysis, anticipated cost reports, schedules, and financial reporting.
• Oversee due diligence, programming, design, permitting, procurement, bidding, contractor selection, sustainability, and post-construction services.
• Lead Life Sciences capital projects involving pharmaceutical construction, cGMP, and cGLP requirements.
• Manage multi-site capital improvement programs, vendors, consultants, contracts, risks, and liabilities.
• Direct PDS staff through policy adherence, development, performance management, and team motivation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field; a master’s degree and certification are preferred.
• 12 or more years of related experience, including at least 2 years of management experience.
• Required Life Sciences experience with knowledge of pharmaceutical construction and qualification.
• Advanced project management, client relations, consulting, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, scheduling, and corporate real estate design and construction processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and MS Project.
