Senior Initiative Lead

What you will do

• Direct the overall strategy and delivery of a federal information literacy initiative across content, taskforce coordination, communications, and project coordination work streams.
• Act as the primary liaison to program leadership and the steering committee on project status, risks, and priorities.
• Develop communication and evaluation plans, including quarterly evaluation reports and briefings.
• Guide community engagement with museums, libraries, community-based organizations, and partner organizations.
• Develop persuasive slide decks and presentations for professional and political audiences.
• Coordinate subject matter experts and the federal taskforce, ensure deliverable quality and accessibility, and supervise project support staff.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience managing similar projects.
• Experience engaging museums, libraries, and community-based organizations and supporting cross-organization partnerships.
• Experience with lifelong learning programming, including engagement with marginalized groups and audiences skeptical of nonprofits or public institutions.
• Strong ability to develop persuasive presentations representing quantitative, qualitative, and process information.
• Experience meeting quality, accessibility, and style standards for project deliverables.

Nice to have

• Experience in information, media, or digital literacy research or strategy.
• Background in social science, education, cultural competence, or qualitative research methodologies.
