Optics Fabricator (Manufacturing)

Location: Franklin, Massachusetts, United States; on-site manufacturing role

Salary: $18.89–$31.49 per hour

What you will do

• Fabricate replicated optics from small and simple substrates through final products using epoxy.
• Separate, trim, and clean mirror products.
• Prepare substrates through vapor honing, masking, bake-out, and tooling re-processing.
• Prepare master optics through non-destructive cleaning and careful handling.
• Prepare submasters through chemical and mechanical processing, cleaning, and fixturing.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, and other mechanical measurement equipment to evaluate product quality.

Requirements

• Read and write English and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrate good visual acuity and manual dexterity.
• Understand and follow work instructions, manufacturing processes, and procedures.
• Perform repetitive tasks independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and test procedures is preferred.
