Optics Coater 3 - Second Shift

Location: Irvine, California, United States; onsite, second shift

Hourly pay range: $22.50–$37.50 USD per hour. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Perform coating operations on incoming parts, materials, and components, and document the results.
• Coordinate the collection and disposition of coated materials.
• Determine or assist with coating and inspection methods, sequences, and procedures.
• Work from written procedures, drawings, sketches, and specifications.
• Perform inspection and spectroscopy measurements when required.
• Partner with engineering and cleaning teams and report to the Optics Coating Supervisor.

Requirements

• At least one year of related experience.
• Experience with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, microscopes, height gauges, UV/VIS equipment, ellipsometers, and scratch-dig standards.
• Experience with per-coat and post-coat inspection, cleaning, handling, and packaging of optics.
• Knowledge of coating and vacuum systems and thin-film deposition tools.
• High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent is preferred.
• Applicants may need to qualify as U.S. persons for access to controlled goods and technologies under ITAR or EAR regulations.
