Software Engineering Intern (Winter)

Location: Hybrid, with full-time work from the New York or Boston office during the internship. Internship dates: January 4–April 23, 2027.

Salary: $100,000–$110,000 USD per year, with possible additional compensation.

Develops an observability and security platform that processes metrics, logs, and application data at global scale.

What you will do

• Contribute to production systems processing and analyzing large-scale observability and application data in real time.
• Build and improve distributed systems across backend infrastructure, developer platforms, and cloud-native services.
• Help solve performance, reliability, and scalability challenges in critical services.
• Own technical projects from design through deployment with guidance from experienced engineers and mentors.
• Develop software using technologies such as Kubernetes, distributed systems, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Collaborate with interns, mentors, and engineers on software used by customers at global scale.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or having equivalent practical experience.
• Targeting a 2028 full-time start date.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Ability to code in one or more programming languages.
• Experience with AI coding tools or strong interest in learning to use them effectively.
• Availability to work full-time from the New York or Boston office throughout the internship program.
