Location: Onsite in Suffolk, Virginia, United States. The first 1β2 years follow a MondayβFriday daytime schedule, transitioning to a rotating 12-hour shift schedule after commissioning.
Salary: $63,830β$93,610 per year, plus discretionary bonuses.

What you will do
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment used in chemical production and packaging.
- Support testing, commissioning, and startup of a new plant alongside site mechanics, contractors, Operations, and Engineering.
- Work with pumps, valves, scrubbers, agitators, fans, heat exchangers, relief devices, vacuum systems, vessels, and utility equipment.
- Use technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, drawings, measuring instruments, and equipment data to identify root causes and resolve failures.
- Complete equipment records, databases, drawings, procedures, and commissioning documentation.
- Improve repair safety, timeliness, and equipment reliability while managing waste streams according to RCRA and plant guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial plant, preferably in chemical operations.
- Working knowledge of millwright work, machining, pipefitting, and drivetrain equipment including gears, bearings, and belts.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including preventive and predictive maintenance fundamentals.
- Ability to lift 55 pounds, climb stairs, work at heights and in confined spaces, use PPE including encapsulated suits, and operate forklifts and cleaning equipment.
- Must meet respiratory protection physical standards and fit-test requirements, complete HAZWOPER training, and serve on the site Emergency Response Team.
