Data Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid, Riga, Latvia

Salary: Up to €6,000 gross per month

Electronic Money Institution providing online payment processing solutions, including payment gateways, global payment processing, merchant accounts, open banking, recurring payments, and mass payments.

What you will do

• Integrate data from various sources into internal systems.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL pipelines and data ingestion processes.
• Own the maintenance and documentation of data lakes.
• Transform complex data structures into machine-readable formats.
• Design and maintain databases and data infrastructure.
• Collaborate across departments to validate data relevance, quality, accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Git, database design, and database maintenance.
• Good understanding of data engineering best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, communication, and collaboration skills.
• English and Russian language skills required.
• Experience in fintech.

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Airflow.
• Experience with Docker.
