Treasury Operations Product Owner I – InTrader (Hybrid - see job description for potential work locations)

Location: Hybrid; in-office work four days per week at an M&T office in Buffalo, NY; Bridgeport, CT; Baltimore, MD; or New York, NY.

Salary: $103,000–$171,600 annual (USD)

What you will do

• Build and own the product vision and roadmap, aligning priorities with business strategy and customer value.
• Represent customer and stakeholder needs, make product decisions, and communicate product direction across teams.
• Write user stories, define acceptance criteria, and groom the product backlog in partnership with delivery teams.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and coordinate communication tools, delivery activities, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, business partners, operations, technology, and user experience teams to align customer journeys and dependent backlogs.
• Apply analytics and design thinking while maintaining risk, regulatory, audit, and internal control standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least four years of business, analytical, technical, or product experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, including user stories or functional requirements.
• Experience with backlog management, testing, or defect resolution in a product or technology environment.
• Exposure to financial services operations, accounting, transaction processing, trade processing, settlement, reconciliation, or financial reporting systems.
• Ability to work across business, operations, and technology teams to support delivery and resolve issues.
• Ability to work from an approved M&T office in Buffalo, Bridgeport, Baltimore, or New York four days each week.

Nice to have

• Experience with InTrader or similar financial systems.
• Exposure to treasury products, investment operations, or fixed income workflows.
• Knowledge of product design, user experience, Agile, Lean, and Design Thinking practices.
• Experience analyzing data, identifying root causes, improving processes, or working with external vendors and third-party platforms.
