ULR Claim Handler CH2 (Motor Claims)

Location: Liverpool, United Kingdom. Hybrid role with 1 day in the office and 4 days from home.

Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00 with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.

What you will do

• Manage pre-litigated motor claims up to £25,000, including high-value and complex matters, from inception to settlement.
• Manage low-value litigated motor claims up to £10,000.
• Identify cases suitable for early litigation based on prospects of success and risk.
• Investigate liability, assess quantum, negotiate settlements, and manage the full claim cycle.
• Maintain accurate case data and communicate with clients and colleagues.
• Mentor and train team members and act as a technical referral point.

Requirements

• Essential experience handling pre-litigated ULR road traffic accident claims.
• Full claim-cycle experience, including quantum assessment, liability investigation, and settlement negotiation.
• Qualified solicitor or CILEX professional with the necessary practice rights; CILEX Lawyers will also be considered.
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
• Strong customer service, communication, negotiation, organisational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to mentor and support new starters.

Nice to have

• Experience handling litigated claims.
• Knowledge of Loss of Use and Loss of Standing Charge.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
