Senior Engineering Manager, Platform (AI)

Location: Remote from anywhere in Canada; optional access to office spaces in Montreal and Toronto.

Base salary: 230,000–280,000 CAD per year, plus equity, performance-based increases, benefits, and paid time off.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and grow platform engineers across infrastructure, DevOps, and developer experience.
• Set technical direction for platform architecture and execute the platform roadmap.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, operational tooling, and production systems in a regulated environment.
• Design and build AI-powered internal tools and agentic workflows that automate repetitive work and support complex engineering tasks.
• Improve onboarding, CI/CD, local-to-production workflows, observability, security, scalability, and resilience.
• Own incident management, postmortems, on-call sustainability, and collaboration with engineering, security, and compliance stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles.
• 3+ years of experience managing and growing high-performing teams.
• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, ArgoCD, Datadog, PostgreSQL, CI/CD tooling, and GitOps.
• Experience operating production systems and supporting on-call rotations.
• Ability to set technical direction across developer experience and infrastructure, communicate effectively, and connect technical initiatives to business impact.
• Fluency in English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech or another regulated environment.
• Previous experience as a Staff or Senior Engineer before moving into management.
• Interest in Bitcoin and willingness to learn more.
