Claims Appraiser - Auto Estimatics (Auto Insurance)

Location: Jacksonville, Florida; candidates should reside within a commutable distance of the territory. This Remote-Field role combines work from home for virtual estimates with in-person appointments at body shops and customer locations using a mobile office/vehicle. Work outside the assigned territory may occasionally be required, along with flexible shifts, overtime, or irregular hours.

Salary: $63,089.65–$82,000 annually, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Collect vehicle information from repair shops and customers and prepare initial and supplemental estimates using photos or in-person inspections.
• Use automated estimating systems to create repair estimates and provide technical support to claim handlers on vehicle repair issues.
• Evaluate vehicle damage, photo documentation, bid content, market value, reparability, and causation factors.
• Explain coverage and guide insured customers through the claims process while providing responsive customer service.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls with customers and repair shops, including interactions involving strong emotions or concerns.

Requirements

• Experience in auto collision repair, auto damage estimating, and/or auto insurance appraisal.
• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, decision-making, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask across technical platforms and demonstrate accountability and resourcefulness.
• Physical agility for stooping, bending, and some lifting when evaluating vehicle damage and preparing estimates.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Successful completion of required training, applicable proficiency and licensing exams, motor vehicle record checks, background checks, and possible pre-employment assessments.

Nice to have

• Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraiser License.
• Knowledge of CCC One and/or Mitchell.
• I-CAR Platinum Certification.
