QHSE Associate

Location: US - Remote. Candidates within commutable distance of an hirify.global office must work a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home; remote work may be available outside office areas. Travel up to 30% is required.

Salary: $46,500–$70,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Conduct desktop manual audits of supplier safety and health programs, policies, procedures, and training documentation.
• Assess compliance with federal, state, provincial, and industry-level requirements based on service-related exposure hazards.
• Help suppliers and customers close audit gaps and deficiencies through recommendations and regulatory guidance.
• Perform customer verifications and assist with audit closure.
• Respond to customer inquiries, document correspondence and complaints, and escalate concerns to the Audit Manager or designated safety professional.
• Complete 50+ audits per month while meeting quality, SLA, and response-time targets.

Requirements

• Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and operator requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to learn online software systems, apply new information, manage changing workloads, and meet intensive deadlines.
• Relevant safety experience, a safety internship, or contractor prequalification verification experience is preferred.
• Completion of OSHA 30-hour training in Construction and/or General is required.
• Reliable transportation and regular, predictable attendance are required.

Nice to have

• One to five years of relevant safety-profession experience.
• A two-year or four-year degree or safety certification from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with environmental, oil and gas, MSHA, maritime, or shipyard regulations.
• Experience developing or revising safety and health programs.
• Bilingual proficiency and knowledge of relevant served industries.
