Claims Appraiser - Auto Estimatics

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina; candidates should reside within a commutable distance of the assigned territory. This Remote-Field role combines work from home with in-person appointments at body shops and customer locations. Work may occasionally extend outside the assigned territory, with flexible shifts, overtime, and irregular hours as needed.

Salary: $63,089.65–$82,000 annually, plus potential incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Collect vehicle information from repair shops and customers and prepare initial and supplemental estimates using photos or in-person inspections.
• Use automated estimating systems to create repair estimates and evaluate vehicle damage, causation, photo documentation, and bid content.
• Apply market-value and reparability knowledge to assess repair issues.
• Provide technical support to claim handlers on vehicle repair matters.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls and provide professional customer service throughout the claims process.
• Explain coverage and assist customers with claim questions and concerns, including during emotionally difficult interactions.

Requirements

• Experience in auto collision repair, auto damage estimating, and/or auto insurance appraisal.
• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, decision-making, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask across technical platforms and demonstrate accountability and resourcefulness.
• Physical agility for stooping, bending, and some lifting while evaluating vehicle damage.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Successful completion of required training, applicable proficiency and licensing exams, MVR checks, background checks, and possible pre-employment assessments.

Nice to have

• Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraiser License.
• Knowledge of CCC One and/or Mitchell.
• I-CAR Platinum Certification.
