Inside Auto Appraiser

Location: Hybrid in Charlotte, NC, with other locations in Houston, Tampa, Atlanta, Franklin, and Orlando

Annual base salary: $63,800–$105,400

What you will do

• Conduct virtual inspections of vehicles damaged by accidents, weather events, and other covered losses.
• Prepare repair estimates using claims management and industry-standard estimating software.
• Determine actual cash value and settle total-loss vehicle claims through market research and comparable vehicle analysis.
• Negotiate repair costs and settlements with body shops, customers, and third-party claimants.
• Identify pre-existing damage, prior repairs, and potential fraud indicators while documenting claim assessments.
• Collaborate with repair partners, claim representatives, vendors, and body shops, provide customer guidance, and support claim professionals with technical advice.

Requirements

• Hybrid work in the United States; occasional on-site inspections and transportation to meet customers may be required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of auto physical damage appraisal or comparable claims experience, or successful completion of the required hirify.global Claim Representative training program.
• Bachelor’s degree, active adjuster license where applicable, and two years of auto physical damage appraisal experience are preferred qualifications.
• Proficiency with claims management, estimating, Microsoft Office, and enterprise technology systems.
• Strong communication, customer service, judgment, organization, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
