Location: Remote within the United States; an in-person interview may be required, and training may be conducted in person, virtually, or in a hybrid format.

Salary: USD $76,829–$142,213 annually, depending on state, experience, skills, and location. California hiring range: USD $98,568–$120,473.

What you will do

• Investigate and resolve moderate-complexity homeowners property claims involving fire, water, weather, and other losses.
• Document damage using photographs, measurements, recorded interviews, imagery, and advanced video technology.
• Write repair and damage estimates, including estimates created through virtual inspections with vendors and insureds.
• Compare investigation findings with policy terms to determine coverage and extend or deny claims appropriately.
• Set reserves, negotiate settlements within authority limits, and escalate claims requiring additional approval.
• Communicate with insureds and representatives, manage claim inventories, and review files handled by independent adjusters when needed.

Requirements

• Must be able to work remotely from the United States.
• Three to five or more years of equivalent industry experience is preferred.
• Experience with estimating software such as Xactimate and experience in property claims, customer service, construction, restoration, or mitigation.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain state-specific property claims licensing where required.
• Clear written and verbal communication, independent judgment, negotiation, organization, and willingness to work flexible shifts or overtime.
