Manager of Applied AI Products (Healthcare AI)

Location: Remote (USA); must currently reside in the United States and be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 base annually, excluding annual bonus when applicable

What you will do

• Shape the AI product roadmap for MedicatOne in partnership with product leadership, the CTPO, and healthcare clients.
• Translate provider pain points, EHR workflow gaps, and healthcare data challenges into AI product proposals and evaluation frameworks.
• Personally design, code, and ship production AI features using LLM integrations, RAG pipelines, vector search, and data workflows.
• Own AI architecture from data ingestion and retrieval through API design, deployment, reliability, scalability, and HIPAA compliance.
• Lead client discovery and represent the AI strategy in conversations with clinicians, administrators, prospects, and industry stakeholders.
• Coach engineers and product colleagues while establishing responsible AI development and governance practices.

Requirements

• Substantive healthcare IT experience in healthcare SaaS, health systems, digital health, or EHR environments.
• Working knowledge of HL7 v2, FHIR, CCD/CCDA, healthcare interoperability, clinical workflows, HIPAA, PHI handling, and de-identification.
• 6+ years in product engineering, technical product management, or a hands-on hybrid B2B SaaS role, including 3+ years personally building AI or ML features in production.
• Production experience integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic, designing RAG systems, using vector databases and embeddings, and indexing unstructured data.
• Experience with data modeling, SQL, analytics workflows, API design, backend services, roadmap delivery, and client-facing discovery.
• US work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with college health, student health, or behavioral health.
• Familiarity with FHIR R4.
