Claim Specialist-Auto Field Assignment (Insurance)

Location: Remote-field position servicing Las Vegas, Nevada; candidates must reside within a commutable distance of the assigned territory. Work is performed from home and in the field using a mobile office/vehicle for in-person appointments. Travel outside the assigned territory, flexible shifts, overtime, and irregular hours may be required.

Salary: $70,101.85–$101,450 per year, with potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Review residential and commercial property injury claims with exposures up to $500,000 to determine coverage, liability, and damages.
• Investigate claims by gathering information, interviewing involved parties, and reviewing medical records, police reports, policies, and supporting documents.
• Conduct customer-facing field assignments, including securing documentation and funds, property inspections, and legal appearances.
• Evaluate, negotiate, and settle third-party liability claims within policy limits and company guidelines.
• Document claim activity, maintain accurate records, and prepare required reports.
• Coordinate with policyholders, agents, legal and medical teams, risk specialists, experts, vendors, and defense counsel.

Requirements

• Prior claim handling experience, including damage assessment, repair cost estimation, and settlement negotiation.
• Experience or demonstrated ability to assess bodily injury, property damage liability, and uninsured or underinsured motorist claims.
• Knowledge of coverage, liability, policies, laws, statutes, and insurance regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, decision-making, organization, time management, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, use claims management software, and manage multiple technical platforms.
• Valid driver’s license and physical ability to lift, carry, climb ladders, navigate roofs, and crawl in tight spaces.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Litigation experience, including trials, settlement conferences, mediations, or other in-person court appearances.
