Claims Representative II (Insurance Claims)

What you will do

• Manage approximately 150 or more claim files, including cases with multiple claimants, arising from Maryland Transit Administration operations.
• Investigate, evaluate, settle, and handle automobile property damage, bodily injury, and commercial general liability claims.
• Continuously evaluate reserves for property damage and bodily injury claims with exposures of $25,000 or greater.
• Issue timely reports, complete diary reviews, and manage litigation-related activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation while prioritizing multiple cases and deadlines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or high school equivalency certificate.
• At least two years of experience handling commercial liability claims, with emphasis on mass transit, automobile, and general liability.
• Experience investigating, settling, and managing automobile property damage, bodily injury, and general liability claims.
• Knowledge of requirements under Section 111 of the Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while handling sensitive and confidential information.
