Product Designer, ICHRA (Healthcare)

Location: New York City office, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week, including Thursdays

Salary: $123,372–$161,925.75 per year, plus benefits, equity grants, and annual performance bonuses.

What you will do

• Design and ship tools that help employers manage health plan contributions for their employees through the Lucie Marketplace.
• Shape the ICHRA experience across broker enrollment, consumer marketplace, and ICHRA tooling.
• Own the design process from discovery and research through high-fidelity delivery.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, research, data, and operational stakeholders to define strategy and solutions.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to generate actionable insights.
• Create visually compelling product experiences and contribute to Oscar’s design language system.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Product or UX Design.
• At least 2 concrete examples of designing and shipping complex web and mobile interfaces.
• At least 2 years of directly managing stakeholders.
• Strong visual design portfolio and experience designing complex enterprise software, data-intensive platforms, or workforce management tools.
• Ability to work autonomously across multiple technical domains from research through high-fidelity delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, user research, prototyping, accessibility, or design ethics.
• Experience creating animated prototypes, user flow diagrams, internal tools, system workflows, or power-user interfaces.
• Experience navigating technical constraints and translating requirements, goals, and research into simple, useful UI.
• Comfort using AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code alongside Figma.
