Senior Product Designer (Fintech)

Location: United States; remote or hybrid options available, with an East Coast preference. Hybrid work is centered around the New York, NY and Charlotte area offices. Eastern Standard Time hours are required.

Salary: $110,000–$150,000 total cash compensation per year.

What you will do

• Lead product discovery through user interviews, usability testing, synthesis, and problem framing.
• Own end-to-end design from ideation and prototyping through production-ready delivery.
• Partner closely with engineers using GitHub, agentic coding tools, component libraries, Tailwind, and Next.js.
• Contribute to design system decisions and maintain Bankrate’s brand and experience standards.
• Build accessible, high-quality product experiences and participate in design critiques.
• Share effective AI workflows, prompts, tools, and design patterns with the wider design organization.

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating product decisions shaped through discovery and research.
• Consistently high-quality craft across varied product design problems.
• Comfort with frontend concepts, component-based systems, GitHub, and agentic coding tools.
• Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and collaborate proactively with engineers and product managers.
• Strong understanding of accessibility as part of product quality.
