Product Designer (Internal Tools)

Location: Livingston, NJ; New York, NY; Sunnyvale, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Bellevue, WA. Applicants must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements, such as being a U.S. person or eligible to access the controlled information under applicable regulations.

Salary: $153,000–$204,000 base salary per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits based on eligibility.

What you will do

• Partner with product managers, engineers, internal users, and business stakeholders to understand workflows, constraints, and outcomes.
• Conduct interviews, observations, workflow mapping, usability testing, and product or operational data analysis.
• Design end-to-end experiences for internal applications, forms, dashboards, approvals, notifications, search, reporting, and self-service workflows.
• Create journey maps, information architectures, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Design complex states including permissions, exceptions, errors, approvals, bulk actions, validation, and system handoffs.
• Develop reusable design patterns and AI-assisted experiences such as copilots, recommendations, summaries, intelligent search, and workflow automation.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in product, UX, interaction, service design, or a related field.
• A portfolio showing shipped digital products, design process, interaction and visual design, and measurable outcomes.
• Experience with complex workflows, enterprise software, internal tools, operations, B2B products, or data-rich applications.
• Strong user-centered design skills, including discovery, journey mapping, information architecture, prototyping, usability testing, and iterative delivery.
• Experience collaborating with product managers, engineers, and subject-matter experts in an Agile or iterative environment.
• Proficiency with Figma or an equivalent design tool, including component libraries, prototypes, and documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with internal platforms, admin tools, employee portals, workflow automation, or operational systems.
• Experience with design systems, accessibility, enterprise information architecture, dashboards, analytics, or data visualization.
• Experience designing AI-enabled or agentic experiences with human-in-the-loop controls and explainable behavior.
• Familiarity with ERP, CRM, HRIS, ITSM, identity, procurement, billing, supply chain, or data platforms.
• Background in cloud infrastructure, data center operations, SaaS, or other high-growth technical environments.
