Senior Product Designer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in the New York City office, with 2 in-office days per week. San Francisco is also considered, with NYC preferred.

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 USD annual base salary, plus discretionary bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Shape user experience, interface, interaction, and visual design for new and existing AI platform features.
• Partner with product and engineering teams on product strategy throughout the end-to-end development process.
• Create user journeys, flows, prototypes, and production-ready designs from early concepts or engineering prototypes.
• Research the needs, workflows, and challenges of open-source AI users and enterprise AI researchers and builders.
• Identify opportunities to reduce onboarding friction and improve product usability.
• Advocate for scalable, user-centered design systems that improve consistency, design velocity, and product impact.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing B2C software or technical platforms, preferably in developer tools, AI/ML, or SaaS.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product thinking across UX, interaction, and visual design.
• Experience collaborating with product managers, engineers, and researchers to iterate and ship products.
• Ability to work across early-stage prototypes and production features in ambiguous environments.
• Proficiency in Figma and modern design tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present design rationale and influence cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with machine learning, APIs, or cloud infrastructure.
• Front-end coding experience.
