Team Lead, Software Development, Altitude (AI)

What you will do

• Lead a small cross-functional team of software engineers and UX designers developing the Altitude transportation intelligence platform.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership for scalable, data-driven product design and delivery.
• Coordinate with product managers, data scientists, and UX designers to define, design, and ship platform features.
• Direct software development projects, manage assignments, track schedules, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Drive test-driven and security-driven development, comprehensive testing, code reviews, prototypes, MVPs, and proofs of concept.
• Coach and mentor direct reports, support performance and career development, document architecture, and participate in a rotating 24x7 on-call schedule when applicable.

Requirements

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience as a software developer using object-oriented programming to build scalable applications.
• Leadership experience including coaching, employee development, and performance management of direct reports.
• Experience directing UX designers or design functions, reviewing prototypes, and providing design feedback.
• Technical proficiency with Google BigQuery, cloud-native data pipelines, preferably GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Full-stack experience with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, React, Next.js, Storybook, Node, Go, Python, and Git, plus strong analytical and project management skills.
