Litigation Paralegal

Location: Hybrid role requiring time in the office at 611 Anton Boulevard, Costa Mesa, California; Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Salary: $70,000–$90,000 per year, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Support attorneys with assigned civil litigation case files and legal services under supervision.
• Assist with drafting, serving, and responding to discovery.
• Review medical records and prepare treatment summaries.
• Draft pleadings, motions, reports, and other litigation documents.
• Prepare cases for court appearances, depositions, and trials, including trial documents.
• Contact and coordinate with clients, experts, and witnesses throughout the litigation process.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or personal injury.
• Experience with discovery responses, trial preparation, and drafting motions, pleadings, or reports.
• Familiarity with California Civil Court Rules and Procedures.
• Paralegal experience, a paralegal degree or certificate, medical training, relevant coursework, or a legal studies degree; candidates must meet California Business & Professions Code 6450 requirements.
• Strong organizational, written communication, prioritization, multitasking, independent-working, and attention-to-detail skills, plus legal research ability.
• Must be eligible to work lawfully in the United States immediately; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Insurance defense, personal injury, medical malpractice, or workers’ compensation experience.
• Experience reviewing medical records and preparing medical summaries.
