Litigation Paralegal

Location: Must be based in or near San Diego, CA (Hybrid)

Salary: $30–$45/hour

What you will do

• Assist attorneys with propounding and responding to discovery, including interrogatories and subpoenas.
• Manage trial preparation tasks such as coordinating witnesses, preparing exhibits, and organizing trial notebooks.
• Independently obtain, review, and organize medical records and calculate damages.
• Draft and proofread legal documents and manage large volumes of case-related records.
• Communicate regularly with clients, experts, and attorneys regarding case status.
• Leverage legal technology and case management tools to streamline workflows.

Requirements

• Paralegal certification required.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
• Experience with California state litigation is required.
• Solid understanding of civil litigation rules and deadlines in state and federal courts.
• High proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage competing priorities.
