Litigation Paralegal (Complex Trial)

Location: Must be based in or near San Diego, CA (Hybrid role)

Salary: $35–$48/hour

What you will do

• Assist attorneys with propounding and responding to discovery, including interrogatories, subpoenas, and deposition binders.
• Manage trial preparation tasks such as coordinating witnesses, travel, trial exhibits, and trial notebooks.
• Independently review and organize medical records and calculate damages including medical expenses and lost wages.
• Maintain routine communication with clients, experts, and attorneys regarding case status.
• Prepare supporting documents and exhibits for motions and hearings.

Requirements

• Paralegal certification required.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
• Solid understanding of California civil litigation rules and deadlines.
• High proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
