Senior Executive Strategic Operations Analyst (Financial Services)

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States; four days onsite at Seneca One and one day working from home each week

Salary: $89,600–$149,300 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder roles.
• Structure ambiguous business problems by clarifying priorities, organizing workstreams, identifying decisions, and establishing practical paths forward.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, business updates, trends, risks, and gaps to produce actionable insights.
• Create executive-ready presentations, briefings, status updates, recommendations, and decision-support materials.
• Partner with stakeholders across business lines and functions to align priorities, manage expectations, and drive execution.
• Monitor scope, schedule, budget, dependencies, issues, change controls, corrective actions, audit points, and regulatory or compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least four years of project management experience, or a combined minimum of eight years of higher education and/or work experience including at least four years of project management experience.
• Experience managing complex projects, initiatives, or workstreams involving multiple stakeholders or functional areas.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience translating complex information into clear insights, recommendations, presentations, or executive-level updates.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, influence stakeholders, and structure evolving priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, technology, operations, or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience with strategic transformation, organizational change, process improvement, or enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience working with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, or matrixed organizations.
