Commercial Credit Senior Associate, C&I (Commercial Credit)

What you will do

• Underwrite new commercial credit requests and material modifications from deal screening through approval and the full loan lifecycle.
• Manage commercial loan portfolios through annual reviews, interim updates, covenant monitoring, problem-loan management, and early-warning analysis.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, collateral, guarantor information, industry research, market trends, and credit data.
• Prepare cash-flow analyses, financial models, collateral schedules, covenant sensitivities, risk ratings, and independent credit assessments.
• Partner with relationship managers, lead transaction execution teams, participate in client calls, and present analysis during credit discussions or committee reviews.
• Ensure compliance with commercial credit policies, regulatory standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, plus 5 years of relevant commercial credit or financial analysis experience; alternatively, 9 years of combined higher education and work experience including 5 relevant years.
• Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling, credit metrics, ratio interpretation, and trend analysis.
• Ability to structure transactions, interpret and negotiate legal documentation, and evaluate risks and mitigants.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a customer-facing role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Experience with Capital IQ, FactSet, or Bloomberg.
• Experience with nCino.
