Commercial Credit Senior Associate, C&I (Fintech)

What you will do

• Underwrite new commercial credit requests and material modifications from initial deal screening through approval and the life of the loan.
• Manage commercial loan portfolios through annual reviews, interim updates, covenant monitoring, problem-loan management, and early-warning indicators.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, due diligence reports, credit data, appraisals, industry research, and peer information.
• Prepare financial models, cash-flow analyses, collateral schedules, covenant sensitivity calculations, guarantor analyses, and risk ratings.
• Recommend transaction structures, terms, conditions, controls, collateral, and guarantors while presenting analysis to credit committees.
• Partner with relationship managers, credit analysts, and clients throughout transaction execution and portfolio management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience in commercial credit, public accounting, financial statement analysis, or related financial analysis; an alternative path requires 9 years of combined higher education and work experience, including 5 relevant years.
• Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling, credit metrics, financial ratios, and trend analysis.
• Ability to understand and negotiate legal documentation, perform structural analysis, and independently structure transactions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a customer-facing role with limited supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Experience with Capital IQ, FactSet, Bloomberg, or nCino.
• Experience training junior or newly hired analysts.
