Credit Lead - Business Banking

Location: In office at 555 South Flower Street, Los Angeles, California, US 90071

Starting base salary: $122,535–$208,715 per year, plus eligibility for bonus and/or commissions.

What you will do

• Underwrite and manage portfolios for privately held Business Banking clients with annual revenues up to $50 million.
• Formulate and recommend credit and banking solutions for working capital, capital expenditures, commercial real estate financing, growth, and other strategic needs.
• Lead credit analysis, underwriting, portfolio management, credit adjudication, and approval discussions within delegated authorities.
• Manage team workflows, monitor portfolio performance, and maintain credit quality in line with risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
• Coach, train, develop, and provide performance feedback to Credit Solutions colleagues across multiple levels.
• Collaborate with relationship managers and cross-functional teams on business growth, market analysis, and organizational projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of progressively increasing experience in credit underwriting and portfolio management.
• At least 3 years of leadership and coaching experience in underwriting or credit management, including informal leadership.
• Advanced knowledge of credit management, lending operations, risk management, and industry-specific credit practices.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to report to the designated City National location; this role is not remote.
