Cybersecurity Senior Manager, Protection and Encryption Engineering

What you will do

• Lead the Protection Engineering and Encryption Engineering programs within Cybersecurity Infrastructure Engineering.
• Develop and execute strategies for Web Application Firewall, Intrusion Prevention, encryption controls, and cybersecurity programs.
• Direct financial and human capital planning, budgets, risk assessments, and strategic priorities.
• Establish incident response policies and procedures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, procurement, vendor management, technology risk, and enterprise risk teams.
• Represent cybersecurity interests with senior leadership, regulators, industry forums, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 9 years of relevant experience, or a combined minimum of 13 years of higher education and/or work experience without a degree.
• At least 8 years of experience in the specific cybersecurity function and at least 3 years of managerial experience.
• Expert knowledge of cybersecurity principles, Web Application Firewall and Intrusion Prevention System policy strategy, and automation.
• Expertise in SSL certificate management, cipher management, and symmetric and asymmetric encryption technologies.
• Expertise in software engineering methodologies and general-purpose automation platforms.
• Ability to work in the hybrid Buffalo, New York location.

Nice to have

• Eligibility to obtain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information US Government Security Clearance.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience and experience leading cybersecurity people leaders and teams.
• Experience in highly regulated industries, financial services regulations, compliance, and risk management.
• Expertise in Security Information and Event Management technologies and emerging cybersecurity technologies.
