Business Process Improvement & AI Manager (AI)

Location: South Africa; remote work with travel onsite as required. Flexible full-time schedule, typically around 9:00 AM–6:00 PM SAST, with meaningful overlap with U.S. business hours and occasional meetings outside standard hours.

What you will do

• Lead process improvement, AI adoption, workflow automation, and organizational change initiatives across project delivery, business development, operations, and finance.
• Map current workflows, identify root causes and inefficient handoffs, and redesign processes based on measurable business value.
• Design and build AI agents and AI-enabled solutions for internal operations and client-facing workflows.
• Configure Sage Intacct integrations and connect AI models to business systems through MCP or comparable frameworks.
• Partner with IT, system owners, vendors, and functional leaders to deliver secure, stable, documented, and supportable solutions.
• Prioritize and manage multiple initiatives with clear scope, milestones, ownership, reporting, and outcome measurement.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in business process improvement, digital transformation, business systems, operational excellence, technology adoption, or a related field.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives from discovery through implementation and sustained adoption.
• Hands-on experience mapping workflows, facilitating discovery, redesigning processes, and implementing low-code automation or AI-enabled business solutions.
• Strong project management, prioritization, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and outcome measurement skills.
• Ability to influence leaders and teams without direct authority, adapt to different levels of readiness, and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule with overlap with U.S. business hours and occasional meetings outside standard hours.

Nice to have

• Experience in professional services, accounting, consulting, or client-delivery environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Copilot, Power Automate, Zapier, Make, or n8n.
• Experience working across countries, business units, or time zones.
• Training or certification in project management, Lean, Six Sigma, change management, business analysis, or process improvement.
• Experience with MCP integrations and Sage Intacct configuration or implementation.
