What you will do
- Define, design, and support system-level architecture for surgical navigation and visualization platforms.
- Translate clinical and product requirements into system specifications and technical requirements.
- Integrate software, hardware, optical navigation technologies, cameras, tracking systems, and surgical platforms.
- Support real-time surgical visualization and augmented reality capabilities while ensuring system performance, reliability, and safety.
- Identify and resolve system-level issues across integrated hardware and software environments.
- Document architecture, requirements, interfaces, verification plans, risk analyses, and lifecycle improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, or complex product development.
- Experience integrating software with physical hardware systems and understanding optical navigation and real-time visualization technologies.
- Experience with software development using C# and Unity, 3D visualization, real-time systems, or game engine-based applications.
- Experience with SDLC, Git or other version control systems, and Agile development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with medical device systems engineering or regulated environments involving FDA or ISO requirements.
- Experience with surgical navigation platforms, orthopedic anatomy, or biomechanics.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, web services, REST APIs, system risk management, and design control processes.
- Background in augmented reality or immersive visualization systems.
