Senior Systems Administrator (iGaming)

Location: Silverwater, Australia; 4:1 on-site working arrangements

What you will do

• Administer, monitor, and optimize enterprise Windows Server and Linux infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud-hosted environments.
• Design and maintain virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and Nutanix, including cluster management, high availability, resource allocation, and lifecycle planning.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and PKI services.
• Own enterprise backup, recovery, storage, monitoring, patching, vulnerability remediation, and disaster recovery activities.
• Lead cloud adoption and migration initiatives, infrastructure automation, and platform governance using PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex incidents, document root causes, mentor administrators, and participate in the on-call rotation and infrastructure improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise systems administration or infrastructure engineering, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification is required.
• Advanced Windows Server and Linux administration skills, with strong experience in Azure IaaS/PaaS, VMware vSphere/vCenter or Nutanix AHV, and enterprise networking.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, scripting, backup and recovery platforms, enterprise storage, monitoring and observability, ITSM, ITIL-aligned change management, security hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, prioritization, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV), Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP), or ITIL 4 Foundation certification.
• Experience identifying opportunities to integrate AI-driven solutions into IT operations.
