Senior Systems Designer (AI)

Location: Remote U.S.

Salary: $207K–$244K annual base pay, plus equity, medical benefits, 401(k), and other company perks.

What you will do

• Design and own workflow and hierarchy across engineering, product, and design in Jira.
• Align Jira with real operational practices and ensure important work is accurately represented in the system.
• Build agents and automation independently, using AI as part of the development workflow.
• Drive adoption by working directly with teams to improve practices, documentation, and instructions.
• Identify delivery breakdowns at the mechanism level and implement fixes that address root causes.
• Support teammates developing more technical skills and raise their ability to build and operate systems.

Requirements

• Recent experience building and shipping systems with AI incorporated into the workflow.
• Ability to diagnose the underlying mechanism causing a problem before selecting a tool or adding process.
• Strong independent decision-making and ownership from implementation through adoption, cleanup, and handoff.
• Ability to gain adoption without formal authority through conversations, well-built artifacts, and clear instructions.
• No computer science degree or formal engineering tenure is required; recent shipped work is the key qualification.
• Curiosity, willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly.
