Fabricating Superintendent (Packaging Manufacturing)

Location: Los Angeles, CA; must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary: $96,000–$144,000 per year, plus an annual performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Supervise production, shipping, maintenance, and related plant operations under the direction of the Production Manager.
• Plan daily and weekly production schedules, prioritize work orders, maintain quality, and improve workflow and equipment uptime.
• Lead health, safety, environmental, quality, and continuous improvement activities.
• Oversee predictive and preventive maintenance, planned shutdowns, equipment installation, and timely repairs.
• Hire, train, coach, evaluate, and manage production employees, including performance and disciplinary processes.
• Analyze production performance and coordinate inventory, delivery, waste reduction, and plant improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 7+ years of experience in the corrugated manufacturing industry.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience at a corrugated manufacturing facility.
• Experience with coaching, training, team building, performance development, and conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of corrugated and packaging machinery, manufacturing practices, continuous improvement, and safety procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and manufacturing or shop-floor systems; ability to work flexible hours.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or electrical engineering.
