What you will do

• Establish and manage packaging suppliers, processes, and procedures.
• Develop test plans and perform laboratory testing for products, packages, and packaging materials.
• Define Design for Distribution requirements and influence product design through the Product Life Cycle process.
• Develop and maintain global packaging standards and specifications for the company and its supply base.
• Lead packaging-related projects, problem-solving efforts, continuous improvement, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Provide advanced training and support to Packaging Engineer III and collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and product engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 10+ years of professional experience in packaging engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience developing and validating packaging solutions for complex equipment, industrial products, or technology hardware.
• Expertise in packaging design, testing and validation, transportation and distribution packaging, materials selection, and supplier qualification.
• Experience developing packaging specifications and standards, Design for Distribution, Product Life Cycle support, and new product introduction.
• Fluency in CAD software, including NX, SolidWorks, Creo, Artios, or AutoCAD.
